✔️ 840-960MHz Broadband for Global RFID Protocols
✔️ 8dBi Antenna + Reader Synergy for 0-15m Extended Range
The Cykeo CYKEO-A8 8 dBi UHF RFID antenna and reader combo is made for serious, industrial setups. The high-gain circular antenna plus a reader with low signal loss means it can read tags reliably, even when things get crowded. It plugs right into logistics robots, warehouse systems, and automated gates without a hitch. The ABS housing is tough, and it handles temperatures from –20°C up to 60°C, so it’s fine in factories, cold storage, or out in the yard. It’s a solid choice if you need to track parts, scan pallet inventory, or keep cross-dock operations running smoothly.
To get the most out of an 8 dBi antenna with a UHF RFID reader, use 50Ω-matched cables like LMR-400 to keep signal loss low. Mount the antenna about 2–3 meters off the ground in a warehouse to stay clear of metal interference. Set the reader power around 30 dBm if your region allows it, and you can comfortably get 10 meters or more of coverage. We tested this setup with the Cykeo CYKEO-A8 reader and were able to handle around 800 tags per second.
Yes, this antenna and reader can handle metal-heavy environments. Using anti-metal tags with a small foam spacer helps a lot, and frequency hopping in the 902–928 MHz range keeps interference in check. Adjusting the H-plane beam also makes it easier to avoid reflections from nearby metal surfaces.
For maintenance, just keep it simple. Wipe the antenna surface with some isopropyl alcohol every month to get rid of dust. Every few months, check the pole mounts and tighten the bolts so nothing shifts around. Once a year, it’s a good idea to test the VSWR with an analyzer and replace the unit if it’s reading over 1.5.
