Welcome to Part 4
RFID Roadmap
We divide the information into nine parts: RFID overview, RFID readers, RFID antennas, RFID tags, hardware, auxiliary equipment, advanced principles, ideal device performance, RFID system deployment, and different types of RFID.
What is RFID Tag?
Online Reading Guide
RFID TAG is a small wireless identification label that stores information and sends it back to an RFID reader when activated by radio waves. Unlike traditional barcodes, it doesn’t need to be scanned one by one—the reader automatically detects it, which saves a lot of time and effort. (Cykeo RFID Tag)
How It Works
The reader converts this signal into digital information for your system to process.
Each tag contains a chip and an antenna.
When it enters the reader’s radio field, the tag activates and reflects back its stored data.
Most RFID tags are passive, meaning they don’t have a battery and only respond when energized by a reader. This keeps them small, long-lasting, and cost-effective.
RFID tags can be read through cardboard, plastic, fabric, and most non-metal materials, unlike barcodes that need to be visible.
Cykeo real-world scenarios for RFID tags
Supply Chain & Warehouse Management
Stick tags on boxes or pallets for fast check-in/out without opening packages.
Asset Management
Track equipment and tools in factories or hospitals for quicker, more accurate inventory.
Access & Identity
Employee or visitor cards can be recognized instantly when approaching a reader.
Retail Inventory Management
Scan multiple items at once, much faster than manual barcode scanning.
Libraries & Archives
Books or important files get tagged for automated tracking and circulation.
Cykeo offers a variety of tags to fit different materials and environments: (Cykeo RFID Tag)
