Recently, the Changyang Urban and Rural Cold Chain Logistics Park welcomed an important supporting industrial project – a smart laundry company officially moved in and began operations. The project not only fills the gap in the region’s smart laundry service industry but also adds a crucial link to the park’s goal of building a comprehensive logistics system integrating cold chain warehousing, processing, and services.

Stepping into Plant No. 1 of the industrial park, the intelligent laundry production line has entered a stable operation phase. Multiple washing, disinfection, and sorting machines work in concert, processing medical textiles in a closed and standardized process before they are rolled off the line in sequence, with orderly production on site. This smart laundry company, relying on digital technology, has injected new professional service capabilities into the industrial ecosystem of the park.
Huang Wei, general manager of Hubei Jinlu Industrial Investment Smart Technology Co., Ltd., said: “We are a smart laundry factory based on RFID technology. All medical textiles entering the factory are embedded with RFID chips to achieve full-process traceability management.”
Compared to traditional washing methods, smart washing utilizes an information system to monitor the entire process of medical textiles, from receiving, washing, disinfection to sorting and warehousing. Textiles are registered upon entering the factory, and the washing and disinfection processes are scanned and recorded in real time, ensuring that each step complies with medical standards. Finally, the intelligent system performs precise sorting, significantly improving safety and management efficiency.
Currently, the company has provided professional laundry services to some medical institutions in Jingzhou, Yichang, and other places. The successful commissioning of the smart laundry project also reflects the accelerating overall construction progress of the Changyang Urban and Rural Cold Chain Logistics Park.
Within the park, the gardenia tea processing workshop in Building 2 has been completed and is ready for production. All relevant equipment has been installed and debugged, and it will be put into use once the spring tea is available. Meanwhile, several other projects are progressing simultaneously. Ding Kaicheng, the person in charge of the construction site, explained that the underground pile foundation construction for Building 3 (e-commerce building), Building 4 (driver’s home), and Building 7 (packaging workshop) is planned to be completed before the Spring Festival, and the main steel structure installation for Building 5 (agricultural product sorting center) will be completed.
According to the project team, the No. 5 agricultural product sorting center is a key project in the current park construction. The construction team is accelerating progress through shift work and continuous construction, aiming for delivery by June 30th. Upon completion, the project will significantly enhance the cold chain storage capacity for Changyang’s high-altitude vegetables during the peak summer season, providing strong support for agricultural product preservation and transportation, and helping local specialty agricultural products such as high-altitude vegetables, medicinal herbs, and gardenia tea to reach a wider market more quickly.
